Mike Piazza’s Miami Beach mansion gets (another) price cut

It’s officially the middle of summer, and this steamy weather means that life on the water looks extra enticing.

We’re sure a spit of land on one of the country’s most notable beaches—complete with a Tuscan-inspired mansion—would tick all the boxes for a buyer in search of the luxe waterfront life.

So we’d love to recommend the Miami Beach, Florida, mansion of Baseball Hall of Famer Mike Piazza.

The legendary slugger has slashed the price of his Miami waterfront mansion again in hopes of enticing a buyer onto the field. He initially listed his home for $18.5 million back in 2017. In 2018, the asking price dropped to $16.9 million.

At that point, the listing agent, Jill Herzberg, alluded to the fact that Piazza was pricing to sell.

The price was dropped to $14.75 million in late June, and the home was recently taken off-market yet again. A deal may be in the offing.

The estate is the epitome of Italian-inspired luxury, offering a staggering 9,438 square feet of living space. This includes eight bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a customized entertainment center. In fact, customization can be found in every corner of this villa.

There’s stone flooring from Jerusalem and a wine cellar to house the finest vintages a wine lover can find. With a library, waterfront views from several rooms, and an outdoor space perfect for entertaining, this estate hits it out of the park.

But that’s not all. A separate two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa is included on the property, and let’s not forget the location. All of this is available in one of Miami’s most exclusive ZIP codes.

Piazza, 51, starred for 16 seasons in the big leagues and was named an All-Star 12 times. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016, and is considered one of the best-hitting catchers ever to play. He’s currently serving as the manager of Italy’s national baseball team.
