1 injured in Tropicana Flea Market fire, smoke could be seen for miles

MIAMI – One person had to be hospitalized after suffering burns during a fire Thursday afternoon at the Tropicana Flea Market in Miami. 

The condition of the injured man is currently unknown. 

CBS4’s Joe Gorchow has learned the fire started after a food truck’s gas tank exploded. 

Firefighters continued to contain the fire from spreading to adjacent structures.

Earlier, black plumes of smoke could be seen for miles. 

The flea market is located in the 2900 block of  NW 36th Street.
