A lottery player in Florida just won a life-changing jackpot.
The winning ticket sold in the Sunshine State was the only one to match all six numbers for Saturday’s Powerball drawing and won the $285.6 million jackpot, according to the lottery website.
The winner will also have the choice of the taking the cash option of $196.7 million.
The winning ticket was sold at the Circle K on Chaffee Road South in Jacksonville. It is the 16th time the Powerball has been won in Florida, lottery officials announced Monday.
The winning Powerball numbers drawn on June 5 were: 44 – 52 – 54 – 64 – 69 and Powerball 26. The Powerplay was 3x.
Another ticket sold in Puerto Rico matched all five balls and had the Powerplay to win $2 million.
The Powerball will now reset to $20 million with a cash option of $13.8 million for next Wednesday’s drawing.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is at $56 million with a cash option of $38.3 million, according to the Mega Millions website.
