Aman Miami Beach Submits Proposal For Ultra-Luxury Tower Designed By Tokyo Olympic Stadium Designer Kengo Kuma

Aman Hotels is proposing to build a residential tower in Miami Beach designed by famed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.

Aman is also renovating the Versailles building next door into a new luxury hotel. Earlier this week, the Miami Beach’s Historic Preservation Board approved plans for the renovation.

The new residential building is set for review by on February 9.

Aman is sparing no expense on the new buildings.

The developer said they will spend $4.8 million per room for the 56 rooms it will renovate at the Versailles Hotel tower, according to reMiamiBeach.

Aman has also resolved a dispute with condo owners at neighboring Faena over the height of the building, the website reported.

They will also be building a subterranean parking garage on the oceanfront property, which is much more expensive than an above ground garage.

Kuma designed the New National Stadium in Tokyo for the 2020 Summer Olympics.

In a letter, Kuma wrote that his inspiration for the new tower came from Roy France, who designed many of the buildings in the area.

Revuelta is the local architect of record.
