Police are investigating after a body was found floating in a canal Thursday morning in Hialeah.

The body was discovered in the area of 84th Street and 21st Lane.

Sky 10 was above the scene shortly after 10 a.m.

Hialeah police spokeswoman Adriana Quintana confirmed that the body was discovered around 8:30 a.m. by a worker in the area.

She said the body is that of a man, but his identity has not been released.

No other details were immediately known.
