Car crashes into home in Southwest Miami-Dade

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. – Miami-Dade Police and Miami-Dade Fire rescue units have responded to a home that a car smashed into.

It happened at the home in the area of 11545 SW 168th Terrace. A person was still inside the vehicle and needed to be extricated.

A child, was injured inside the home and was transported to a local hospital. He is said to have been watching TV when the vehicle crashed into the home.

The driver, who is said to be a 61-year-old woman, was also transported to the hospital.

 

The car has since been removed from the home. It only had minimal damage and could still be driven.

Police believe the crash was an accident, perhaps the use of the wrong gears or pedals.

Unsafe structures has since been notified.

It remains unknown at this time of what charges or citations the driver may face.
