Chicago Developer Plans Two Edgewater High-Rise Buildings With 600 Apartments: Construction Fully Funded

A Chicago developer has announced plans to build two high-rise apartment buildings in Edgewater with 600 apartments.

Trilogy Real Estate Group paid $22 million for several properties, according to Commercial Observer, closing in December 2021.

The developer told the website it is now planning two residential towers.

“The capital is fully raised for the construction of both towers,” the developer said.

Trilogy paid $12.5 million for property at 169 Northeast 27th Street, 2728 Northeast Second Avenue, and 166 Northeast 28th Street in December 2021, according to The Real Deal. In addition, the company also bought 2634 Northeast Second Avenue, and 192 and 186 Northeast 27th Street for $9.8 million that same month.

Trilogy also owns additional property in the area.

In March, the company paid $30.6 million for the Edge 22 site at 2201 Northeast Second Avenue, according to The Real Deal.
