Demolition Underway At Riverfront Brickell Site Where 44-Story Lofty Tower Planned

Demolition got underway yesterday at the Lofty Brickell site, according to a social media post by the developer.

Miami’s Building Department issued approval on April 28 for total demolition of a building on the site where the 44-story tower is planned.

According to the demolition permit, a total of 20,000 square feet of space is being demolished, at an estimated cost of $105,400.

TBRC Group is listed as the demolition contractor.

There does not yet appear to be a construction permit pending.

The developers of Lofty announced in January that more than half of units had already been sold, even before a sales gallery had opened.

Construction was planned to begin in the the fourth quarter of 2022, according to the January press release.
