Design Revealed For 57-Story M Tower, Set For UDRB Review

The developer of the M Tower Apartment building in downtown Miami has filed plans for review by the Urban Development Review Board.

According to the newly filed plans, M Tower will rise 57 stories (up from the 49 stories previously planned), and include:

  • 675 apartments
  • 10,531 square feet commercial
  • 694 parking spaces in an 8-story podium

A number of zoning waivers are being requested, including drive aisle, floorplate, and a parking reduction (zoning normally would require more spaces).

The tower is planned to top off at 598 feet above ground (unlimited height is permitted on the property under zoning rules, but FAA rules would still restrict its height).

Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates is the architect.

Downtown 1st Street LLC, an affiliate of Lions Group NYC, is the developer.

A portion of the new development will be built on property owned by the Miami Parking Authority, replacing a 658 space garage (scheduled for demolition by September).

The UDRB hearing is scheduled for July 20.
