Elon Musk unbothered after SpaceX test launch ends in fiery explosion

SpaceX founder Elon Musk was unbothered after the company’s most recent test launch ended in a fiery explosion when an unmanned rocket attempted to land.

The test flight for the Starship spacecraft, conducted in Texas, was the first of its kind at high altitude for the private company.

While the vessel exploded upon landing, Musk said the test was successful and recorded the necessary data.

“Fuel header tank pressure was low during landing burn, causing touchdown velocity to be high & RUD, but we got all the data we needed!” Musk tweeted. “Congrats SpaceX team hell yeah!!”

“Mars, here we come!” he added.

The Starship SN-8 is designed to cheaply launch satellites into orbit.

SpaceX previously had a successful launch of its Crew Dragon capsule which was the first spacecraft from a private company to take NASA astronauts to the International Space Station.
