Another veteran is on the move out of the nation’s capital, with recent acquisition Federico Higuain on his way from Washington, D.C. to Miami.

Higuain will be joining his younger brother, Gonzalo, who moved to Miami from Juventus in September. The elder brother, 35, made it clear he wished to play with his younger sibling, 32, after signing with D.C. United for the 2020 season.

D.C. United honored Higuain’s request, and in the process will receive $50,000 in return in general allocation money.

Higuain is a highly-respected MLS veteran. ESPN notes that since 2012, he’s scored 60 league goals and recorded 68 assists in 217 appearances, leading the Columbus Crew to the MLS Cup Final in 2015.
