Formula One Racing Exec Says Miami Grand Prix Drawing Huge Buzz: ‘Never Seen Anything Like It’

Formula One holds races around the worldwide, but the upcoming Miami Grand Prix is generating buzz that the sport has never seen before, a racing executive told Reuters.

Zak Brown, who heads McLaren, said the Miami race was turning into a Super Bowl-like event for Formula One.

Top celebrities are among those who are clamoring for tickets, he said.

Brown said he had been around F1 for 20 years, but had never seen the demand or buzz that the Miami event was generating.

McLaren is hosting 1,000 guests (including A-list celebrities), but Brown said demand has been so high that the guest list could easily be doubled.
