Police shut down a public Maluma appearance in Miami on Tuesday after more than 1,000 fans showed up to see the Colombian singer, allegedly violating the city’s COVID-19 mass gathering restrictions.

A spokesperson for the the Miami PD told Page Six on Wednesday that cops responded to reports of a large gathering in Wynwood, Miami’s art district.

“The officers observed a celebrity make an appearance,” the rep said. “Once the celebrity saw the crowd growing, he left the area and the crowd dwindled.”

When asked whether any fines were issued or any arrests were made, we were told, “No police action was taken.”

Prior to leaving, a source told us Maluma, 27, was “mobbed” when he walked out of his car, but kept his mask on while inside the venue. He met with 160 fans at a safe social distance and there was “no hugging” at the meet-and-greet.

The line outside of the venue increased while Maluma was inside — with 10 people at a time, and we’re told cops shut down the event because it was “unsafe for the people outside” waiting in line.

After the event, the “Pa’ Ti” singer then thanked his fans via his Instagram Stories for attending the event, and confirmed that he had to leave early because there were “too many people.”

“I wanted to spend more time with each and every one of you, but police did not allow us to do so,” he said in Spanish. “That’s all just a demonstration of your love. Thank you all in Miami for loving Maluma, baby, so much.”

The Latin music artist made a special appearance at the Miami art gallery to promote his new audio visual album, “Seven Days in Jamaica,” with an exhibition featuring artwork made out of recyclable materials.

We’re told the main album cover art will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to environmental nonprofits presented by Maluma’s foundation, El Arte De Los Sueños.

The exhibition is open to the public until Feb. 28. We’re told Maluma will not be present.
