Mansion in Miami’s Morningside sells for record $14M

A mansion along Biscayne Bay in Miami sold for $13.98 million, a record price for the Morningside neighborhood.

Krueger Property Holdings & Investments LLC, managed by Lilian Kruger and Christian Kruger, sold the 7,011-square-foot home at 5811 N. Bayshore Drive to StellaBean Holdings, managed by Coconut Grove attorney Alexis Gonzalez, likely on behalf of a wealthy client.

Dora Puig of Luxe Living Realty listed the property, while Artur Fruman of AFS Living worked with the buyer. The price equated to $1,994 per square foot, although the true value of the deal may be the 1.03-acre lot – one of the largest single-family home lots along Biscayne Bay in that stretch of Miami.

The home was built in 1939. The Kruger family purchased it for $2.2 million in 2010 and expanded the home in 2012.

It features nine bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, a pool, a cabana and a balcony. The property has 150 feet of water frontage.

There could be more big deals in Morningside soon. A flurry of waterfront home sales in Miami Beach has eaten up most of the inventory on the east side of Biscayne Bay, so that leaves a number of homes on the west side of the bay – in Miami – on the market.
