MIAMI, Fla.— A mother has been arrested after allegedly abandoning her child at a restaurant in Downtown Miami.

Around 11 PM on Saturday night, a baby was found alone outside of Aura Bistro Café. Police discovered the 5-month-old baby girl on the ground when they arrived at the scene.

Tiffany Giron, the child’s mother, was found nearby. She appeared drunk, according to officials. Giron told police she had three drinks while being handcuffed.

Upon further investigation, officers found crack cocaine in her purse, according to the arrest report.

The 20-year-old mother was arrested on multiple charges, including child neglect. Additionally, the judge entered a stay-away order to prevent Giron from seeing her baby, as reported by NBC6.
