New video shows spooky masked burglar strike again in Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The busy burglar who has targeted businesses wearing a spooky mask has been at it again … and again.

New video first obtained by Local 10 News on Friday shows the criminal in action once again in Miami-Dade County.

At a Northwest Miami-Dade Taco Bell in late September, he’s seen winding up and throwing a boulder into the drive-thru window. Another angle shows him slither through the window and start rummaging through the restaurant.

He is suspected of robbing at least 11 different businesses in Miami-Dade.

Local 10 first reported last month about the burglar with the yellow ghost mask stealing from fast-food restaurants and a supermarket in Miami Gardens and Miami Lakes.

He often carries a red Nike drawstring gym sack and the burglaries are usually early in the morning, between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m., investigators say.

In some cases, he steals cash. In other cases, he steals cigarettes and cigars, police say.

He also was seen on video hurling what looks like a brick into the Cartagena Colombian restaurant off Northwest 183rd Street in Miami Gardens back on Sept. 24 and leaving with something in his hand.

Business owners in the area say they are taking extra precautions when locking down their shops.

Police are hoping with this latest video someone will recognize him and put an end to this crime spree. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
