Prospect Yiddi Cappe signs highest contract ever given by Miami Marlins

The shortstop prospect Yiddi Cappe, a Cuban national, signed the highest contract in the history of the Miami Marlins on July-2, for a sum of US $ 3.5 million.

The signing was carried out in the presence of Mr. Fernando Seguignol, international director of the Miami Marlins, his coach and manager Wellington Herrera of the Herrera Family academy, as well as relatives of the prospect.

Cappe was born on September 18, 2001 in Havana Cuba. The athlete expressed that he is confident in his talents and assures that he has closed a stage and the one he had always dreamed of is playing professional baseball for which he worked hard and now focuses on reaching the Major Leagues.

He also thanked scout Domingo Ortega “who was confident and never fainted, always believed in the work and dedication of today’s professional and who was one of the builders of the prospect.”
