A woman’s body was found along the shoreline of Miami Beach near 79th Street early Wednesday morning.

Police say the discovery was made by someone walking by the area around 6:30 a.m., who called 911.

Sky 10 was over the scene as officers and fire rescue crews began looking into the woman’s death.

Detectives could be seen closely examining the body.

How the woman ended up in the water and what led to her death are still unclear.
