Yotel opens first dual-branded property in Miami

Yotel has opened a dual-branded property in downtown Miami, offering a total of 453 hotel rooms and apartment-style “pads”.

The 31-storey Yotel and Yotelpad development is located at 227 NE 2nd Street, close to Bayfront Park and FTX Arena, and around six miles from both Miami Beach and Miami International airport.

Yotel Miami features 222 hotel rooms ranging between 21 and 40 sqm, with the brand’s signature convertible SmartBed, mood lighting and “open concept bathrooms”.

Meanwhile the 231-unit Yotelpad Miami is situated above the hotel, and offers “pads” ranging from studio to one and two-bedroom apartments, all with kitchen facilities and a living area with Murphy bed. Designed for longer stays, the pads are bookable for monthly rates.

The two properties share facilities including two onsite restaurants (which are still to open) and a bar, as well meeting and coworking space, a fitness centre and pool deck.

The Yotel brand launched in 2007 at London’s Gatwick airport, and there are currently around 21 properties including six in the US.

The Yotelpad spin-off was launched in 2019, and opened its first property in Park City (around 35 miles from Salt Lake City International airport) in 2020, with properties also under development in Geneva and Atlanta.

Rates for Yotel Miami start from $199 per night, with the Yotelpad from £349.

Commenting on the news Hubert Viriot, CEO of Yotel, said:

“As Yotel continues to push boundaries in the hospitality industry, we’re proud to launch our first-ever hotel and pad concept in flourishing Downtown Miami. Yotel Miami and Yotelpad Miami are unique in that there’s something for everyone, regardless of length of stay.

“Our experience is led by smart design and tech-forward amenities, coupled with a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere that allows guests to define their own travel journey. As our third US opening in less than two years, we’re delighted to continue to expand the US footprint and bring travellers the latest in a seamless, smart stay.”
